Review: Forever Wild

Forever Wild

Today I am sharing my review of Forever Wild by K.A. Tucker. I am a huge fan of The Simple Wild and Wild at Heart and this book is part of that series.

Synopsis

From the international bestselling author of The Simple Wild comes Forever Wild, a novella that continues the story of Calla’s journey to the Alaskan wild and a life she never imagined for herself.

The holiday season is upon Calla and Jonah, and with the mistletoe and gingerbread comes plenty of family drama. Jonah is bracing himself for two weeks with a stepfather he loathes, and while Calla is looking forward to her mother and Simon’s arrival, she dreads the continued pressure to set a date for their wedding … in Toronto. Add in one bullheaded neighbor’s unintentional meddling and another cantankerous neighbor’s own family strife, and Christmas in Trapper’s Crossing will be anything but simple.

Why I Decided to Read this Book

I am a huge fan of The Simple Wild and Wild at Heart. If you’ve been following along you  know Wild at Heart was one of the first few reviews I posted here on the blog. When I saw this novella was coming out I knew I had to read it ASAP. It is set during the holidays so I read it back in December.

Rating

4 Stars (An Excellent Book!)

My Thoughts

I believe this book was written for the Calla and Jonah fans that needed more from them! I loved going back to Alaska and seeing what this couple was up to since the end of Wild at Heart. Calla and Jonah are one of my all time favorite romance novel couples and I am so glad the author wrote this novella to wrap up their story.

As with the other books in this series the story is set in Alaska and I love being transported there. This one is set during the holidays so it is a great book to read around that time or just if you’re looking for something cozy. It features the amazing Calla and Jonah banter and introduces a few new characters (we get to meet Jonah’s family). This is a super short story that you can read in one sitting.

It seems like the author has other books planned in this Alaska universe (set around some of the characters in these books) and I can’t wait to read them!

Content Warnings

Who I Recommend this Book to

If you love The Simple Wild and Wild at Heart you’ll love this one. You must read those two before reading this novella (it is a part of a series). If you haven’t read The Simple Wild what are you waiting for?
