Running by Natalia Sylvester

I started the month with a bang! I loved this book so much and you’ll continue to hear that for the rest of the year because I’m sure this book will make it to the top 10 of the year.

Her last flight by Beatriz Williams

This was my first Beatriz Williams book and it won’t be my last. I hadn’t read a historical fiction book in a while and I am so glad that I read this one. I definitely recommend it for historical fiction fans.

Format – Physical Book

Rating – 4 Stars. Check out my review here.

The Boyfriend Project by Farrah Rochon

This was a great contemporary romance book. I loved the characters, the friendships, the important topics addressed in this book. It reminds me of Jasmine Guillory books.

Format – Audio book

Rating – 4 Stars. Check out my review here.

What you wish for by Katherine Center

Katherine Center is one of my favorite authors, her books bring me so much joy! While this wasn’t my favorite book from her I’m glad I read it and I think some people may love it.

Format – Physical Book

Rating – 3.5 Stars. Check out my review here.

Clap when you Land by Elizabeth Acevedo

You will hear me talk about this book for the rest of the year! It will for sure make it to my top 10 books of the year and I want everyone to read it. Even if you don’t typically enjoy YA I think you’d like this book.

All Adults Here by Emma Straub

This was my IRL book club pick and we had such a great discussion! It is a literary fiction book but it kept me engaged and I really enjoyed the audio book narration.

Big Friendship by Aminatou Sow and Ann Friedman

This is a must read book about friendship. I want to gift this book to all my friends. I really enjoyed learning more about Aminatou and Ann’s friendship and I am looking forward to listening to their podcast.

Me and White Supremacy by Layla F. Saad

Add this book to your antiracism list NOW! I think everyone should read this book and follow the journaling along. It is key to reflect about yourself before you can actually start taking action and become an ally. I can’t recommend this book enough!

Such a great month of reading! I definitely want to read Clap, and I just learned that “Long Way Down” by Jason Reynolds is another YA written in verse, so maybe check that one out too!
