What I read in July 2021. Before I looked back at what I had read this past month I thought I had a terrible reading month. I barely picked up a book the last two weeks of the month so I was surprised to see I read 5 books.

Tell Me Everything by Cambria Brockman
This is an older book that came highly recommended. I’m always interested in books set in college campuses and this one was very good. This is a thriller with alternating timelines and a little dark. Definitely an entertaining read.

It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover
My favorite book I read this month! This is another older book that a lot of people love and I’m so glad I finally picked it up. I sobbed while reading this book and read it in a few days. Get the tissues ready if you read this one. This is a heavy book and it has lots of trigger warnings (I’ll include them in my full review) but if you need a good cry this is the book for you.

Bringing up Bebe by Pamela Druckerman
Let me start this by saying I am not expecting a baby or are thinking about getting pregnant any time soon. I see this book everywhere and I saw someone on Instagram posted that she read it even before she decided if she was ready to have kids or not so I put a hold at the library just out of curiosity. There’s a lot of things about parenting that I’m not interested in but I was curious to see if this book about French parenting would maybe give me some insight about how other countries parent that may be maybe more enticing. I really liked the book. It reads more like a memoir than a parenting book. If we decide to have kids I’ll have to read it again with Aaron.

The Kindest Lie by Nancy Johnson
This was my book club’s pick for the month. Once gain a book club book I didn’t love, but this one the majority of us were on the same page. I was bored, honestly I forgot much about the book so I don’t have much to say about it.

Blush by Jamie Brenner
I’ll be honest, I picked this one up because of the cover and I wanted something lighter. I listened to the audiobook because it is narrated by my favorite audiobook narrator Julia Whelan. I is a good summer book! Nothing super deep but just what I needed at the moment.
