As some of you may know my fiancé and I are planning our wedding for Spring 2021. So this year I have been really into reading books set around weddings. Today I’m sharing a list of books with a wedding setting or theme!
The Royal We by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan
Genre – Contemporary Fiction
What is it about – An American girl finds her prince in this “fun and dishy” (People) royal romance inspired by Prince William and Kate Middleton.
My thoughts – I haven’t read this one but everyone seems to love it! I am hoping to start it soon and I’ll let you know my thoughts.
The Wedding Party by Jasmine Guillory
Genre – Romance
What is it about – An enemies to lovers story. Alexa is getting married and Maddie and Theo are both part of the wedding party. After an “Oops, we made a mistake” kiss, neither one can stop thinking about the other. Now they have to be part of the wedding party without telling Alexa about this mutual attraction.
My thoughts – I read this book recently and loved it! It also made for a perfect gift for my bridesmaids. All of Jasmine Guillory books have wedding names and are somehow wedding themed. Check out my review here.
The Grace Kelly Dress by Brenda Janowitz
Genre – Contemporary Romance
What is it about – Two years after Grace Kelly’s royal wedding, her iconic dress is still all the rage in Paris–and one replica, and the secrets it carries, will inspire three generations of women to forge their own paths in life and in love.
My thoughts – This book brought me so much joy, it was a delight! It would make a great gift for a bride to be. Check out my review here.
Big Summer by Jennifer Weiner
Genre – Contemporary Fiction
What is it about – A deliciously funny, remarkably poignant, and simply unputdownable novel about the power of friendship, the lure of frenemies, and the importance of making peace with yourself through all life’s ups and down.
My thoughts – This book has a mystery side to it. Only the second half is set at a wedding but I thought I’d include it in here. Check out my review here.
Sex and Vanity by Kevin Kwan
Genre – Contemporary Fiction
Synopsis – A glittering tale of a young woman who finds herself torn between two men: the WASPY fiancé of her family’s dreams and George Zao, the man she is desperately trying to avoid falling in love with.
My thoughts – I haven’t read this one yet but I’m super excited to read it. I read Kevin Kwan’s book Crazy Rich Asians (also has a wedding setting) and loved it.
The Guest List by Lucy Foley
Genre – Thriller/mystery
What is it about – A wedding celebration turns dark and deadly in this deliciously wicked and atmospheric thriller reminiscent of Agatha Christie from the New York Times bestselling author of The Hunting Party.
My thoughts – I loved this thriller! Both Aaron and I read it and thought it was an interesting premise and we were surprised by the twists. Check out my review here.
