What is The Book Drop?
The book drop is a monthly book subscription from Bethany Beach Books, an independent bookstore. Each month you receive a hand-wrapped paperback book. The team at Bethany Beach books finds incredible reads that the average reader won’t discover otherwise. They select the titles each month for you so you have nothing to worry about except enjoying your book! Each month the book is a surprise! Simply decide which subscription is right for you, choose your subscription length, and enjoy some fabulous books!
What are the subscription options?
They have many options to choose from! which include:
- Books for tea – For readers who enjoy historical, contemporary, or literary fiction.
- Books for coffee – For adult readers who enjoy psychological thrillers, action, murder mysteries, legal thrillers, and suspense!
- Books for bubbly – For adult readers who enjoy romance, chick-lit, romantic comedies, and stories of friendships.
- Large print – This subscription is perfect for adult readers who enjoy reading a little bit of everything. Our selections alternate every month between genres. The books are in large print format.
- Books for young adult – This subscription is perfect for the reader who enjoys reading a variety of young adult titles!
- Books for middle grade – This subscription is best for readers age 8-12. They select books from an assortment of genres with strong characters, diversity, and positive themes!
- Books for early readers – One early chapter book each month perfect for readers who are starting their independent reading journey!
- The book droplet – Perfect for both little and big readers who love picture books! Geared toward little bookworms age 3-7

Why do I love the book drop?
I’ve been receiving the book drop subscription for over a year now and I love it! I’ve received the “books for tea” and “books for bubbly” options. My current subscription is to the “Blend: bubbly/tea” and I love it. I have received many books that I hadn’t heard of before and I love discovering new books that way. I love the surprise element of it and supporting an independent bookstore.
